About Us

Industrial Electric Testing was incorporated in the state of Florida, fall 1987, as the testing division of Industrial Electric Construction Company.  James T. Hill, Chairman of the Board and Owner of IET, later purchased Industrial and became an independent testing company.

IET is a full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), an ANSI standards writing organization made up of independent electrical testing firms throughout North America and Canada.  As a full member company of NETA,  IET functions as an unbiased test authority, professionally independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the equipment or systems to be evaluated.

Industrial's headquarters are located in Jacksonville, Florida servicing North, Central and the Western part of Florida, as well as, South Georgia.  Since 1994 we have also maintained a branch office in Hallandale to service the Southern portion of the state.  Our qualified, professional labor force insures completion of any project in an expert and timely manner.  We provide emergency service to ALL customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year.

Industrial Electric Testing's goal is to service electrical power distribution systems through thorough testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration and repair for all industrial, commercial and utility customers.  We do this to insure the integrity of electrical system facility apparatus in respect to safety and reliability.  IET has been active in this field for more than two decades.

All inspections and tests are made in accordance with the latest edition of specific codes, standards, and specifications of the follow organizations:

Industrial Electric Testing utilizes only test equipment in good mechanical and electrical condition.  All test instruments are maintained and calibrated within rated accuracy, with the accuracy directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

IET reports any system, material, or workmanship which is found defective on the basis of acceptance or maintenance tests and maintains a written record of all tests and assembles and certifies a final technical test report. 

The utmost priority is placed on the safety of the public, personnel, and equipment.  IET meets and exceeds all current safety codes.  The "Electrical Safety Guidelines" of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association is adhered to by IET.  All field personnel and vehicles are equipped with required personal protective safety equipment.  Industrial Electric Testing is fully licensed, bonded and insured.  Certificates of insurance are available to our customers upon request.

Industrial Electric Testing has the personnel, equipment and experience that fully qualifies us to successfully complete any project, satisfying the testing and maintenance needs of our customers and their power distribution equipment.  We take our responsibility seriously and all projects are given our fullest attention, no master the size.
